A few of the ways we can achieve better energy efficiency are through:

• Replacing many incandescent, halogen, and older fluorescent bulbs with CFLs, (Compact Fluorescent Lights) or LED (Light Emitting Diode) lamp sources. For the same amount of energy as an incandescent, CFLs produce 3-4 times more light, saving you up to 75% more energy. LED’s have the longest life, some reaching close to 100,000 hours
• Replacing older fixtures to allow for use of more energy efficient bulbs
• Installing lighting controls, such as dimmers and sensors, can help reduce the wattage and output of your bulbs. This can significantly lower your overall power usage and extend the life of your lighting.
